Reflection: When You Feel Like Your Brain Has Too Many Tabs Open

Ever have one of those days where your brain feels like…

42 tabs open.
Music playing somewhere.
One tab frozen.
And you can’t find where the noise is coming from?

Same.

When life feels busy and your mind feels loud, it doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re human. Sometimes our brains are simply running too many emotional apps at once.

Try this reset:

You are not a computer.
You don’t need to operate at lightning speed.
Sometimes a gentle restart (aka tea + 2 mins of peace) works wonders.

You don’t need to have everything sorted.
You just need to remember where the kettle is.

Reflection: Healing Doesn’t Mean Becoming a Perfect Zen Human

True story:
Someone once told me they were “failing at healing” because they still got irritated when people chewed loudly.

Friend… if enlightenment requires tolerating loud chewing, I’m out too.

Healing is not:
Never getting stressed
Floating through life like a peaceful forest fairy
Loving every sound, smell, and human you meet

Healing is:
Not spiralling every time life gets messy
Choosing self-kindness over self-criticism
Laughing at yourself sometimes instead of panicking

We can hold growth and still occasionally mutter, “Why is everyone breathing so loudly today?”

You’re allowed to be healing and human.
Both can sit at the same table — just not the table with the loud chewers.

Reflection: “I’m Fine.” — The Famous Last Words

“I’m fine.”
Translation:

“I am barely held together with herbal tea, deep breaths, and pure will.”

We all do it — say we’re okay because vulnerability feels big.
But you don’t need to carry everything silently like a heroic emotional ninja.

Try this instead:

“It’s been a lot. I’m managing, but I could use a breather.”

Notice the difference?
Still strong. Still coping.
Just… honest.

And yes, if your version of coping today is lying horizontal watching Netflix with snacks? Also valid.

Sometimes strength looks like talking, and sometimes strength looks like snacks. 🍫

Reflection: Small Wins Count (Even The Invisible Ones)

Did you:

That’s progress.
Heck, even if you only considered doing those things — still counts.

Healing isn’t dramatic movie moments with rain and inspirational music.
Sometimes it’s just… putting socks on and not crying today.

Celebrate the tiny wins — they’re often the bricks that build big change.

And socks are great. They deserve credit.

Reflection: You Don’t Have To “Have It All Together”

I once met someone who genuinely believed adults know what they’re doing.

Bless.

Most of us are still winging it — choosing dinner based on what expires first and Googling things like

“Can you microwave pasta twice?”

Being unsure, figuring things out, changing your mind — totally normal.
Life isn’t a straight line. It’s more like Google Maps recalculating 40 times.

You are allowed to:

You don’t need to have life figured out.
Just keep going. One recalculation at a time.
